Flowers and Floral Tributes

Luke Apthorpe personally selects and arranges all casket covers and sympathy arrangements, his own online floral boutique can be viewed at www.alamode.com.au.

During the funeral arrangement process, the family will often choose a floral arrangement to be placed on top of the coffin on the day of the funeral, this is also known as a "casket cover". This floral arrangement can be given back to the family after the funeral or left with the casket at the time of committal.

Other sympathy arrangements may be sent by relatives and friends either to the funeral home the day before the funeral, or sent to the chapel or church on the day of the funeral. A florist network may be used when sending flowers from interstate or overseas. Please note that donations to a charity may be requested in memory of the deceased in lieu of flowers, this information would be found in the newspaper funeral notice.

A floral tribute is a beautiful way to pay tribute to the deceased in a symbolic way. A particular colour, variations or mixture of colours could be used, as well as different types of flowers (availability permitting).
